A series of new important decisions were taken at yesterday's council of ministers meeting which lasted for three hours.
Announcing the decisions after the meeting, the Minister of Economy and Energy Atay Ahmet Raşit said that all units and departments dealing with traffic will be gathered under one roof, the Ministry of Public Works and Communication.
The economy minister also announced that a by-law allowing the leasing of state owned property has been scrapped preventing the leasing of a state owned property in Büyükonuk for the construction of a fuel storage terminal.
Mr. Atay Ahmet Raşit also said that the Finance, Economy and Environment ministries will be working together to put an end to the environmental problems caused by the grain silos and cement packaging facility at the Gazimağusa port.
He said that it will be the interim government's duty to revise and review decisions taken by the previous government which are deemed unlawful or against the public's interest.
