Nicosia, 20 June 12 (T.A.K): Commissioner Responsible for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Füle, who is paying a two days visit to island, has held some contacts today in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
He visited President Dervish Eroglu, head of the ruling party UBP, the Prime Minister Irsen Küçük, the leader of the main opposition party CTP-BG, Ozkan Yorgancıoglu, representatives of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and opened the Bandabulya (Old Market) which is one of the several urban upgrading projects funded by the European Union.
Füle, had several talks in the South Cyprus yesterday, came together with President Demetris Christofias, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis and the leader of the DISY political party Nicos Anastasiades. They spoke about forthcoming EU presidency of the South Cyprus and the settlement of the Cyprus issue.
After completing his contacts, Füle gave a briefing to the press at the EU House in the South Cyprus. (ÖZ/HÖ)
