Evaluating Mr. Davutoğlu's statements and his contacts in Ankara to the BRT, Foreign Minister Özdil Nami said that he had held useful and positive contacts with officials in Ankara.
He said that the Cyprus Issue had been taken up in all aspects during his meetings.
Commenting on a statement by the Turkish Foreign Minister that the talks between the two leaders could start on the 4th of November, Nami said "the important thing is for the negotiations to start without further delay. We know that the 4th of November is being discussed as a possible date. I hope that the meetings between the leaders begin on that date without further delay."
Foreign Minister Özdil Nami also announced that his Turkish counterpart was thinking of coming to the TRNC in support of the negotiations process ahead of the 4th of November date.
Following his meeting yesterday with Davutoğlu, the TRNC Foreign Minister briefed the Turkish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee on the course of the Cyprus Problem.
