President Eroglu, met with a group of villagers today who had to abandon their village during the conflict years in Cyprus.
Referring to ongoing negotiations to reach a settlement in Cyprus, he said, "The toughest arguments at the negotiation table will be on land. Our thought is, to have at least a possible amount of people relocated; even an agreement that will not make anyone to relocate".
President Eroglu, during a meeting with another NGO delegation today, asserted once again the desire of Turkish Cypriot people for a settlement; that will not leave Turkish Cypriots to the mercy of Greek Cypriots but one that will safeguard the rights of the two people on the island.
"If the Greek Cypriot people show willingness for a settlement at the table than a settlement is possible" he said.
