Prime Minister Kucuk held a press conference today at his office, outlining the governments accomplishments and targets.
The Prime Minister, after outlining major ongoing projects of the government said that the electricity power which will be transferred from Turkey via under water cable would cost the consumers less.
Referring to the Turkish Cypriot economy The Premier said TRNC had a growth rate of 3,3 for the past 3 years and that their aim was to raise the Gross National Product per person to 17 thousand from 14 thousand 500 dollars.
He said the success of Turkish Cypriot economy was dependent on the cooperation protocol signed between TRNC and Turkey and its implementation.
Responding to comments that recent visits of the Turkish ministers to TRNC was meddling in the run off elections for the presidency of the National Unity Party, Kucuk said, the visit were arranged well before the date for the party congress thus would be misleading to take it as intervention.
Kucuk said, "This 2013-2015 program in my opinion will map the future of North Cyprus. We pay utmost importance to this program and must be implemented without any interruption."
The lax treatment of the past protocols by the previous governments had Turkey anxious about the state of relations he told the press.
Asserting the importance of relations with Turkey the only country that recognizes TRNC Küçük said that, his government had managed to improve the relations with Turkey to the level had never been before.
Asked weather he would race at the 2015 presidential elections Kucuk said, "2015 presidential elections was not on the parties agenda yet" because his party was in preparations for 2014 parliamentarian elections.
Citing the rumors on daily newspapers that if he lost the party elections he would split from the party Kuçuk said, such rumors were merely nonsense.
