Nicosia, 11 May 12 (T.A.K.): Besir Atalay, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed that Turkey would continue to work with TRNC for its development.
Atalay, attended the inauguration ceremony for the sports complex and sports festivities in Guzelyurt.
"It is very important the TRNC economy is doing well. We are continuing and will continue to work together with TRNC government, to elevate Turkish Cypriot People to the level of development they deserve... We are happy to see the economic growth and increase in the wellbeing" he said.
Turkish Cypriots should know that they will have Turkey by their side under any circumstances, Atalay said.
He also pointed to the embargoes imposed on Turkish Cypriot People saying, "All these restrictions that is against the spirit of spots and the limitations in all other fields should be lifted. The international community, should not remain blindfolded"
Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk, addressing the gathering at the ceremony, stressed that imposing sanctions to youths in sports was incomprehensible.
He said, a sport was a tool to serve the unity of communities and help bring forth the talents of the young. "Even this is being seen as too much for Turkish Cypriots" he said.
Irsen Kucuk also said that, since Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Guzelyurt could not be part of a deal, investments in the region boost.
